Finally got a chance on the weekend to give my arcturus paddle a good trial. The light weight of the paddle compared to what I had been using made paddling much less hassle.

Top speed may not have increased much but the cruising speed was increased for an equivalent effort.

I love it and recommend it to anyone asking for advice on paddles

I originally bought an Arcturus paddle for my partner. He is not a very strong paddler and was always falling behind, but with him paddling the Arcturus I was suddenly struggling to keep up! It has plenty of power and he loved it so much that he ordered another one for me. I really like this paddle. Recently I was caught in very strong wind and I know for sure that I wouldn't have been able to paddle to safety around the point if I didn't have this paddle. All your power transfers straight into the water as there is minimal flex. It is a great paddle. We use it for kayak fishing and when I next replace this paddle I will probably add the alloy tips. It was only once I started using the more "fragile" carbon paddle that I realized how often I get close to the rocks and I feel a bit nervous about that. I definitely recommend this paddle for kayak fishing as well as recreational paddling.

See previous post. Just lovin it. I've used it now. The Arcturus enters the water much cleaner than the Jazz, and it doesn't flutter or wobble (this is a HUGE plus) as much. Sorry Cory the drip rings have to go. Cheers again for a beautiful product.

I've just received my Carbon/Kevlar 1 pc after my Jazz Tripper mysteriously got beamed up by Scottie while fishing off Coromandel! I haven't used it yet, and I don't think I will ....... I think I'll make one of those wooden Samurai Sword holders, mount this work of art, and sit back and just admire it on the mantelpiece :-)

This was a major upgrade following some commentary on my previous paddle! Used it for my K1 training an d whether it was the paddle or getting better did not fall out once. It seems a very easy to use paddle and the adjustable nature was excellent - I was set to the beginners 60 degree angle. Feedback I've had from other people is that the price is very reasonable for a carbon fibre paddle. Very good service from Cory, bit scary ordering over the Internet but I gave him my body and it worked well.

I had Corey make me an Arturus after I broke my beloved Descent paddle a few weeks ago. I was a bit nervous about it but I had heard some pretty good stuff about Corey and his paddles so took the plunge. I needn't have been concerned, not only was it a work of art to look at but it performed perfectly. The catch is smooth, the grip on the water is amazing and the weight is spot on even with the smart shaft and titanium tips. Yesterday I took it out for a quick test paddle on the Auckland harbour but right from the start it was so nice to use that I just kept going and ended up way out at Motuihe island. 25km later I was back at the beach and very happy with my new paddle.
Many thanks Corey, you do a great job and I will certainty recommend you and your paddles.
